Terms of Service
In short: GetHelpy connects families with independent helpers in Cyprus — we are an intermediary, not an employer, agency, or party to any arrangement, and no payments pass through the platform. Always meet, check references, and agree details directly.

1. About GetHelpy
GetHelpy is an online platform that helps families in Cyprus discover and contact independent helpers (such as babysitters, nannies, tutors and home help) and message them securely.
GetHelpy is a venue and intermediary only. We are not an employer, employment agency, or recruiter, and we do not provide childcare or home services ourselves. We are not a party to any arrangement made between a family and a helper.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login details secure, and take responsibility for activity on your account.
You may hold one account per person. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or that we reasonably believe create a risk to others.
3. The family–helper relationship
Any engagement between a family and a helper — including scope of work, schedule, rate, payment and all other terms — is agreed solely between those users. GetHelpy is not a party to that agreement, does not employ helpers, and is not responsible for the performance, conduct, punctuality or suitability of any user.
Families are responsible for their own due diligence: meet a helper before booking, ask about experience and references, and confirm important details directly in chat before agreeing to anything.
4. Verification and badges
Verification badges (for example "Verified Profile" and family-reference badges) indicate that certain checks were carried out — a profile was reviewed by our team, or references were confirmed with the family who left them.
Badges confirm that a check took place. They are not a guarantee of a person's safety, honesty, qualifications, or suitability for your family. Always use your own judgement and carry out your own checks.
5. No payments through the platform
GetHelpy does not process payments. Families and helpers arrange and make payment directly between themselves. We are not responsible for payments, pricing, invoices, refunds, or any dispute about money.
6. Acceptable use and safety
You agree not to use GetHelpy for anything unlawful or harmful, and not to harass, discriminate against, defraud, impersonate, or endanger anyone. Fake profiles, false claims, and misuse of others' data are prohibited.
Protecting children comes first. Never post photos of children you have cared for, and never share another person's private information without their consent. If you have a safety concern, report it to us.
Contact details and messaging are provided to help you arrange genuine services. Do not use them to send spam or to solicit users for unrelated purposes.
7. Content and reviews
You keep ownership of the content you post (such as your profile text, photos and reviews) and grant GetHelpy a non-exclusive licence to host and display it for the purpose of operating the service.
Reviews and references must be genuine and based on real experience. We may remove content that breaches these terms or that we reasonably believe is false, misleading or harmful.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, GetHelpy is not liable for the acts or omissions of any user, for the quality or safety of any service arranged through the platform, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of the Republic of Cyprus.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to accounts that breach these terms or that pose a risk to other users. You may close your account at any time from your settings.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes. Continuing to use GetHelpy after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you.
